Sales Executive – Los Angeles Office

We are seeking a Sales Executive who will be prospecting new business in their designated territory. This position will require selling our stock product line and collaborating with customers on their desired custom package.

 

Specific Duties

  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and dispensing systems to the cosmetic and skin care market using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the Fusion business review process, new account development and account retention
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions
  • Develop, produce and present sales proposals to customers demonstrating our ability to offer with creative solution based programs. Presentations should demonstrate our unique ability to support our customers’ goal of speed-to-market, product category placement and product selling opportunities at a competitive price
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels & cross-function of clients including Purchasing, Packaging Development & Marketing
  • Solicit new accounts through past relationships or cold calling
  • Work closely with client throughout life cycle of project
  • Responsible for the appropriate and timely completion of all field reports such as weekly reports, expense reports as well as various administrative tasks as requested
  • Maintain a clean and neat professional appearance

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college required
  • 6+ years of successful sales experience in the packaging or a cross market industry selling to the personal care market required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Ability to work unencumbered by a previous non-compete agreement
  • Excellent written and oral skills required
  • Travel required, both international and domestic (50%)

Marketing Intern

Fusion Packaging is seeking a stand out intern for the Marketing Department. You will gain invaluable experience and exposure to a fast-paced, highly visible department working for a leading supplier of luxury packaging in the beauty industry. The Marketing Intern will support the department in numerous facets and must be prepared to work responsibly. This is a great opportunity for an undergraduate to learn the ins and outs of marketing and PR, first hand. Knowledge and passion for the beauty industry and interest in cosmetics and cosmetic packaging is a must.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administrative duties

Account Manager

This position serves as the communication hub for all customer support activities, and works directly with all departments to carry out any customer-related tasks. The Account Manager is the primary contact person for all current customers regarding established items, and a secondary contact regarding any new prospect or customer project initiatives. The goal of the Account Manager is to ensure that the company provides world-class service and support to all customers and the outside sales team.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

  • Reports to the Senior Account Manager

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Support sales team as needed to secure new customer projects and communicate any pertinent information related to an account or project
  • Work with customers to take their project from initiation (customer purchase order) to completion (delivered goods), answer any questions, and address any concerns
  • Work with quality team regarding any customer issues or concerns with our packaging
  • Work with purchasing team to initiate new orders and monitor order status until completion, order customer samples, and manage logistics details
  • Work with creative team to approve customer artwork and request feasibility of alternative decoration options
  • Work with accounting team to initiate new customer credit applications, receipt of current customer deposits, and communicate with customer regarding past due invoices or changes in payment terms

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Service
    • Provide product information to customers upon request; discuss any new product interest with sales person for opportunity follow-up
    • Prepare quotes with product pricing, lead times and terms of sale
    • Request and ship samples for customers
    • Build and maintain customer relationships; take proactive approach to ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Oversee customer projects from beginning to end; keep sales person updated on progress milestones and informed of potential issues
    • Confirm sales orders to customers upon approval
    • Obtain and provide freight quotes to customer; provide vendors and/or purchasing manager with shipping instructions
    • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries and returns; work with QC department to resolve quality issues
    • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance; solicit customer feedback to improve service
    • Treat customer orders and service activities with appropriate urgency
  • Internal Support
    • Maintain customer data for current and new customers in MAS200 and SalesForce.com
    • Work with outside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date
    • Communicate customer feedback and trends to sales and marketing
    • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions when needed; use reason even when dealing with emotional topics
    • Enter sales orders into MAS200, submit to purchasing for approval
    • Generate domestic purchase orders in MAS200; communicate domestic orders to vendors upon approval
    • Initiate customer credit applications and deposit requests

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required
  • 5+ years in an account management or inside sales role required
  • Experience with MAS200 & Salesforce.com preferred
  • Must be detail oriented

Regional Sales Manager

This position is responsible for leading the group of southwest & west Sales Executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth within the Sales Executives' assigned business territories. This position provides management direction for the Sales Executives assigned to his or her team, and manages relationships with other staff functions to ensure appropriate resources are available and focused to support selling objectives.

  • Work directly with senior management on understanding goals for the sales team
  • Work with Sales Executive to enforce execution of their goals
  • Work with customers to establish needs and execute projects

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a group of sales executives to meet or exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth.
  • Develop actionable and measurable tactical plans for the Sales Executives to proactively pursue each client or prospective client.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts.
  • Develop, then maintain business in the direct sale of airless and dispensing systems to the cosmetic and skin care market using consultative selling skills
  • Responsible for attainment of annual sales goals through the fusion business review process, new account development and account retention.
  • Work closely with in-house design and development team to provide customers with creative and innovative packaging solutions.
  • Pursue identified business prospects, participating actively in the planning and sales process for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing resources and VP of Sales to define overall sales strategy, and to develop products and solutions responsive to the customer's business.
  • Travel to different territories and go on sales calls with Sales Executives
  • Compile and execute sales strategies with the sales force.
  • Employ and teach a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and indifference and connects "need" with the client's solutions.
  • Implement the company's sales process to establish a culture of consultative selling to customer's decision-makers at all levels.
  • Maintain a competitive edge by keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for airless and atmospheric dispensing systems and jars.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Entertain customers, such as lunches and dinners, on a regular basis and within expense budget.
  • Interview and hire highly energized Sales Executives when applicable.
  • Evaluate Sales Executives at least twice a year.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or required to maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned account base.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
  • 7+ years (3+ years managing others) of successful sales experience in the packaging or a cross market industry selling to cosmetic industry required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proven sales track record of meeting sales goals
  • Strategic sales planning skills
  • Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Ability to work unencumbered by a previous non-compete agreement
